Clemmie

Privacy policy

What Clemmie collects

Your Apple sign-in identifier (and email address, if you chose to share it), the health profile you enter (conditions, allergens, dietary preferences, goals), your scan history, and any products you contribute.

Your consent

Conditions, allergies, pregnancy, diet and goals are health information, which UK GDPR treats as special category data. Clemmie keeps it only with your explicit consent, which you give before any of it is saved, and which is recorded with the date. You confirm you have the agreement of anyone you add to your household. You can withdraw consent at any time in Profile: your health information, and your household's, is deleted at once, and your verdicts go back to the score for everyone.

Where it lives

Your data is stored with Supabase in the European Union (Stockholm region). It is protected by row-level security: your profile and history are readable by your account alone, except for what you choose to share with a household, below.

Sharing with your household

If you make or join a household, its other members see your shopping lists, your allergies, diet and goals, and the name you give yourself in it, and their verdicts allow for them. Your health conditions are shared only if you switch that on. Someone you add without an account, such as a child, stays private to you until you share them; before you do, you confirm they are your dependant or have given you their explicit consent, and we record that you did, and when. Once shared, every member can see and edit their profile, conditions included. You can stop sharing them, change what happens to them if you leave, or leave the household at any time; leaving stops all of it at once. The household's owner (whoever made it, or after they leave, the longest-standing member) can also remove a member, which stops their sharing in the same way. Your scans, history and saved products are never shared.

What leaves our systems

When a product is missing from open databases, Clemmie may send its name, brand, and category to Anthropic to estimate a typical profile, and its barcode to a commercial barcode database to find it. Your identity and your health profile are never included in either request.

What Clemmie does not do

No advertising, no trackers, no selling or sharing of your data. Your health profile is used for one thing: computing your personalised verdicts.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent to health information, or delete your account and everything in it. Deletion is built in: Profile, Account, Delete account. You can also email ed@squircle.co and we will action any request within 30 days.
